Men’s Night of Prayer 2019

A note from Richard Swiatek, director of Men of Honor Ministry

Men’s Night of Prayer 2019

Pastors and fellow workers in Christ, I am writing to tell you about our upcoming 3rd annual night of prayer for men. I would like to invite the men of your church to join men throughout the province in spending the night of 23 November praying for men to rise to their full potential in the Kingdom of God. On behalf of the Men of Honor committee, I am asking that you open the doors of your church and invite men to come and spend this evening in prayer. Last year we focused on six churches throughout the province as being assembly points for men to come and pray. We received much positive feedback as to the schedule and topics covered but we also heard from many men who wanted to see this event in their home church. This year we are trying to accommodate that request.

If you choose to participate in this event you will find attached a detailed schedule along with prayer topics to be covered. The evening is structured as to have a minimal impact on an already busy schedule.

Some suggestions for a smooth event.

Enlist the help of a men’s committee or appoint a man to lead/assist.

Plan for worship either through a musician or videos (song lyrics on PowerPoint are recommended).

Have coffee, tea, water and snacks on hand for breaks.

Feel free to adjust the schedule and outline to your particular needs.

Please make a point of announcing this event and encouraging your men to come and pray. Included with this message are PowerPoints you can use in announcements, a detailed order of service (feel free to amend according to your needs). A prayer outline for distribution to participants. These items will also be available for download on the District website. At a time when the idea of being a Christ-like man is under attack from many directions we feel it is vital to build up our men through events like this.

Finally I’d like you to let me know if your church will be joining us on the 22nd . Below are three churches that will be participating and where you can direct your men to go if you cannot join us.
